This year's program, called "Music Around the World," featured different characteristics of music from other countries as well as different instruments used throughout the world. Customs and traditions of some of the countries were also discussed.
The Young People's Concerts give high school band members a great opportunity to interact and be mentors and ambassadors to younger students. It's something the high school students look forward to preparing each year for younger students and the younger students enjoy learning more about music, different instruments and how a band performs together.
