"It was just so great. I was up in the nest with the camera and it felt like I was doing a real professional game broadcast. It was great," he said.
He joined several other students as the crew broadcasting the game complete with play-by-play, color commentary and several different camera shots.
"I had such a great time. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The game went by so fast," said Carrie Finholm who ran one of the cameras on the floor and also interviewed the coaches and players.
Aleea Temerowski said she learned that things don't always go according to plan, and that thinking on her feet was important. "My job was to keep up with the scoreboard and even though we had a malfunction two or three times, we still managed to pull it off."
"It was a great experience," said Nicole Hair who ran another of the on-floor cameras. "We were communicating with each other throughout the whole game. It went so fast."
Michael McNee provided the play-by-play commentary and Riley Borrink was the color commentator adding facts and statistics. "It was just natural. We did a bunch of research before the game and then it was just pretty natural feeling," said Borrink.
McNee agreed. "It was a lot less stressful than I thought it was going to be."
"It was fun. I had a lot of fun doing it," said Megan Jonker.
