Team advisor Keith Hamming said he has been extremely proud of all the team members. Of the nine students at the state competition, eight had never been there before and seven of them are first-year BPA students.
“We had a very exciting awards ceremony as six different students were called on stage and placed in their respective events,” said Hamming.
Students advancing to the national finals are:
Kaden Hamming - 1st in Fundamental Accounting; 1st in Digital Media Production; 4th in Digital Marketing Concepts - Qualifies for nationals
Ryan Skidmore - 1st in Basic Office Systems and Procedures - Qualifies for nationals
Evan Liu - 4th in Fundamental Word Processing - Qualifies for nationals
Raegen Chapman - 6th in Fundamental Word Processing; 7th in Basic Office Systems and Procedures - Qualifies for nationals
Carmen Reynolds - 6th in Business Law and Ethics - Qualifies for nationals
Katelyn Chase - 4th in Prepared Speech - Competing as alternate at nationals
Other team members competing at the state level were Molly Alden, Tyne Bufka and Oliver Klerk.
